Jules et Bertrand

The two "spokes-beavers" for the Bell Canada advertising campaign over the last year or so are called Frank and Gordon. At least in English Canada. Au Québec, ils s'appellent Jules et Bertrand.

In the print media, they might even be called cute. However, I find their voices and antics annoying, especially after repeated TV appearances throughout the Bell Globemedia conglomerate. Now I'm getting e-mails from the SVP, Consumer Internet Services of my ISP informing me that Gordon has gone missing.

When they first appeared, it was said that they had been initially test-marketed in Québec, before their nation-wide debut. Except the people I've spoken with there don't seem to like them either...
